The AirWired Governance Policy defines the standards, procedures, and obligations that govern all technology deployments, integrator certifications, and institutional licenses under the AirWired framework.
See Licensing & Governance
Purpose
AirWired Nigeria Ltd ("AirWired") operates as the licensing and governance authority for sovereign digital architectures.
We define and enforce standards for identity, access, video, and network systems across regulated industries.
AirWired governs compliance and architecture. We do not deploy solutions, install systems, or process data.
All implementation and data-handling are executed by certified system integrators and authorized technology partners operating under AirWired governance.
Scope
This policy applies to:
· All AirWired representatives and affiliates
· All System Integrators and End-User Institutions licensed under AirWired
· Technologies deployed within the AirWired ecosystem, including but not limited to Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, Avigilon, Axis, ROC, and Huawei systems
Governance Role
AirWired is responsible for:
· Defining architecture and compliance standards
· Issuing and managing licenses for approved technologies
· Accrediting and monitoring certified integrators
· Ensuring governance alignment with data protection and cybersecurity laws
· Maintaining documentation for regulatory and institutional audits
AirWired does not provide direct technical or operational services.
Non-Operational Statement
AirWired does not:
· Collect, store, or process personal or institutional data
· Deploy or configure systems
· Operate networks or manage customer environments
All such activities are handled by licensed System Integrators and OEM partners, who are individually responsible for compliance with applicable laws and standards.
Data Protection & Compliance
Each authorized integrator acts as the Data Controller or Data Processor (as applicable) and must comply with:
· The Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023) and NDPR 2019
· Applicable international privacy and cybersecurity standards
AirWired ensures that all licensees meet these obligations before approval or renewal, while not falling under these regulatory definitions itself.
Documentation & Oversight
AirWired maintains:
· OEM authorization and partnership agreements confirming licensing authority
· A registry of certified integrators and their valid certifications
· Records of all licenses issued or endorsed under the AirWired framework
· This Governance Policy and related compliance documentation
Liability & Independence
AirWired does not assume technical or operational liability for integrator or partner performance.
Authorized entities operate independently, under AirWired's standards and oversight.
AirWired reserves the right to suspend or revoke authorization in the event of non-compliance.
Review & Amendment
This policy is reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational changes.
Updates are communicated directly to all licensed integrators and partners.
